About the Kitchener-Waterloo Girls Basketball Association (KWGBA)
KW Girls Basketball Association is a not for profit organization that was founded in 2015 to offer basketball opportunities for girls in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. During the 2015-2016 season the KWGBA fielded 3 teams for rep competition and the organization has been building ever since.
KWGBA was founded by a group of like-minded volunteers, coaches, and parents to fill a void in competitive girls basketball in KW and are proud members of the OBA.
KWGBA strives to provide an exciting basketball program that offers quality coaching, skill development, and a love of basketball. We aim to provide parents with a low cost and high quality program with full transparency.

Fees for 2021-2022
Registration fees for each player have not yet been established for 2021-22 as we are still sorting out the possibility of private gym rentals and pandemic restrictions. The registration fee typically includes player and coaching registration fees with the OBA, entrance to the OBA League or entrance into other tournaments as well as the year end OBA championships.
In a typical (non-pandemic year), each team practices at least twice a week at a local school gym for 1-1/2 to 2 hours.
